About Belle
Miss Belle Rouge, RaQuita Weathers, is a native of Vidalia, Louisiana. Before moving to Philadelphia, PA in May 2012, RaQuita attended and graduated from Louisiana State University where she met her now husband, John. In 2013, she graduated with her Masters of Business Administration from Philadelphia University and she currently works as a Financial Analyst for one of the largest cable companies.
Upon living in Philadelphia for about two years, RaQuita learned a lot about herself and the many talents she possessed. Being far away from her regular "go-to" sew-in stylists, RaQuita had to find new ways to style her hair while also saving money. With a husband in optometry school and primarily living off of one income, the two as a couple had to find ways to cut back on spending. One day, a friend introduced the idea of wearing clip-in extensions. Of course this is not a new idea to some women, however RaQuita was truly intrigued. After removing her sew-in extensions in February 2014 to allow her natural tresses to breath (and until she had the money to pay someone else to stitch them in again), RaQuita decided to make clip-ins out of her slightly worn extensions. Well low and behold the clip-in method offered so much versatility and options that RaQuita wore that look for two years. Until getting a fabulous sew-in by Philly hair stylist, Tokyo Bradshaw. For a woman often on the go and that likes having the ability to switch up their style, this method is highly recommended.
In January 2015, RaQuita launched her first business venture, Styles By Belle, a custom hair creation brand. SBB is a service based brand which offers women the glamorous looks of today at an affordable rate. RaQuita uses the same skills she uses for styling her heavily complimented tresses on service requests from clients. Outside of slaying hairstyles and hair extensions, RaQuita found another hobby to keep her active while being far away from home. In September 2013, she learned of a style of seductive dancing from attending a School of Burlesque showcase featuring a friend. That night, RaQuita learned the women in the show were every day women, mothers, wives, and students! The following month, she took her first Urban burlesque dance class with Philadelphia dancer, Viva La'Veese. Since the day she started taking burlesque classes in 2013 to October 2015, RaQuita learned to enhance her previously acquired dancing skills and form them into something much greater. During her time as a student at Viva La'Dance, RaQuita over time became known as "Belle Rouge". She served as the Body Language 101 Instructor from September 2014- September 2015.
In October 2015, Belle Rouge introduced her very own heels class brand "Belle Rouge Vixens". Belle Rouge Vixens was created to provide women a sultry, seductive dancing experience, primarily to the Delaware region. Belle's first event debuted on November 13th "Freaky Friday" in New Castle, DE. The focus of the Belle Rouge Vixen program is teach women the art of performing through emotion as well as put a vintage/classic spin on urban burlesque. By Belle's definition, a Belle Rouge Vixen is an attractive woman who is fierce in her own right. A Vixen owns her sexiness and knows how to steal the spotlight in any room. A vixen is confident and never apologies for knowing her worth. To learn more about the Belle Rouge Vixens, click the link in the menu bar.
Since the lauch of the Belle Rouge Vixens, RaQuita has flourished tremendously as an entrepreneur. In January 2016, she held her first model casting call and held a photoshoot, showcasing the beauty and essence of women in vintage pin-up design. The shoot was a big success and launched new ventures for the entrepreneur, building new connections across the city. In April 2016, RaQuita choreographed her very own performance for the RAW Artists Philadelphia Performance Showcase. The event hosted nearly one thousand attendees with artists from many different genres. The showcase put RaQuita's talents to new heights which paid off in greatly, creating superb publicity for The Belle Rouge Company.
